City Icons is a personal project and an exercise of how can I abstract the concept of a city in simple icons and colors.
Milano: I tried to design a little bit of the stereotypes like fashionand the Duomo but also I tried to communicate that Milan is a good city too just walk around, see the architecture and have a drink like Spritz (even though I'm not a big fan of Spritz, sorry :( )
São Paulo: This was really difficult for me, because I had to think in simple icons for a city that the second name is caos. I tried to communicate the feelings I had when I lived there: aggressive contrasting and comtemporary. Basically I just chose architecture and urban elements, because for me is what São Paulo is, a big concrete island, and that is the nice thing of being in São Paulo, it has a lot of nice modern buldings mixed with the trafic and with the comtemporary life style.
